Shadow

20 SEC STORY? And it came to pass that man saw the greed of kings and democracy rose. Good men fought and good men debated and usurped the kings and the people held sovereignty. But a shadow formed. No one could see it, but it invaded the minds of good men, and as they sat in their chamber, they were perverted, and democracy began to fall. And the shadow ruled, and it was greed, for all the people now thought they were kings.

The Walk

But even after returning from the war, wedding plans were made. It took six months to walk tall again for the wedding – and so different with prosthetics. But he prevailed.

Dead Life

I never believed she was dead. How could she be? She was so full of life – the ultimate party girl, out there on the celebrity circuits. And then – gone. And the evidence pointed to her death. But I never believed it; and finally, I tracked her down. At least, it looked like her, but her new dowdy life and dowdy dress? ‘It was all so pointless,’ she said, ‘and I’m not going back.’ I left her dead.

20 SEC STORY: The pharmaceutical company’s doctors came to the aid of the medical authority straight away. It was thought the virus had been beaten long ago, but the new wonder drug guaranteed it, with only 300 dead. The CEO was obviously pleased. The publicity campaign had gone well; and he had plenty more diseases to release yet.
