Friedrick Nietzsche looked at the world and asked: what is truth? In a world where harmony is unattainable, he could have only one answer. In a world where conflict was guaranteed, truth can only be power.

Basically, if you are big enough and powerful enough, the truth is what you decide it to be.
To Nietzsche we live in a Godless world, cemented by his declaration that ‘God is dead.’ And with no God, absolute truth is an illusion. All that is important is our ‘will to power,’ for through it we create our own values, locking the rest of humanity in a slave mentality of obedience. We are what the powerful say we are. For the powerful man is the Superman. And, although he hated the idea of nationalism and power politics, the jackboot had its shine.
