Polly Ticks says … Am I alone in thinking the intelligence orgs are creating a new Cold War to fill their expansion after Al Qaeda? The rhetoric is disturbing.

Dr Illya Ness says … Daily anti-oestrogen pills suggested as alternative for double mastectomy for high risk. Good, but another nice profit for Pharmaceuticals.

Major de Ranger says … I fear the big reckoning is coming in the Middle East between Shias & Sunnis as trouble spreads out of Syria. Other powers must keep calm.

RATTLERS’ TALE
My Writing Tips

HUNT: They wanted the double agent
& put me on the job. Easy to track down,
I prepared to hand him over. As they
met me, they died. I was secure.
***
Treason, so easy
When system above people
Governments betray
***
KIDNAP: Kidnap is bad but we took her
– left the news at the drop to draw out
the spy – her lover. He came &, her
cover a success, she shot him.

DEAD: I’d died. An error to uncover the
media baron’s power. He’d put his men on
me; had already prepared tomorrow’s
paper. Showed me my obituary.

MICROPEDIE IN 55 WORDS
Year – was celebration of Christ’s life; now, progression of mandatory consumer sprees. Form of indoctrination.
Yin & Yang – universal male (active) & female (passive) forces seeking balance & harmony. In West, changed to good & evil, destroying balance & guaranteeing an enemy.
Yo-Yo – tightly wound toy to be manipulated up & down – to do tricks. Metaphor for control of us.

Blogger Bard says:

STALKED: They followed him always. He
told Control but no ops were seen. They
were good. Finally he killed himself,
& his victims followed him still.
***
APING: The tree top. An oasis of calm
for the ape. The Planet of the Apes remake
needed realism. He hated method acting
& Taylor was so hard to do.
***
FREEDOM: ‘The road to freedom is long
and makes you dizzy,’ said the last to try
it, as he came up behind the next.

Oh, I surely hope that the trouble in Syria will not spread outside Syria! But hope doesn’t go far in that regard. Loved your words a about ‘yo-yo.’ Seems the truth! Have a good week, Anthony! Always enjoy seeing what you write each week.

ah i have a feeling the middle east conflicts are going to rather explode on us…and i wonder how calm everyone will stay considering the unease the world seems to be feeling right now…

  3. Talon said on June 30, 2013

Not even with death, can you escape. That is a scary thought, Anthony!

And, yes, they are definitely creating another Cold War. They have to have something to keep the machines running…sadly…

  4. Lea said on June 30, 2013

With so much out of balance… it is hard to sometimes breathe… but somehow, a miracle, my lungs move… and I am here despite the lies, treason, and governments above and below me… I think I’ll follow that thread between the yin and the yang… good to visit here Anthony!

  5. Anthony North said on June 30, 2013

Hi Mary, thanks for that. Much appreciated.

Hi Brian, it is hard to keep calm, certainly.

Hi Talon, many thanks. And so true.

Hi Lea, thank you, and good to see you here.

You always have such intriguing and thought-provoking observations. I have the same worries about Syria – about all of us, really. So relate to “systems above people – governments betray”. Very apt these days with so many eastern Canadian politicians being exposed as corrupt.

I am responding to your very first set of thoughts concerning warfare. I do not think you are alone and the rhetoric is very disturbing–

  9. WabiSabi said on June 30, 2013

Agree with Audrey but find your warfare page even more disturbing! Where will it all lead?Tanka Whirl

Hi Sherry, thanks for that. Yes, democracy is going all wrong at present.

    Hi Audrey, it is indeed.

Hi Wabi Sabi, hopefully one day we’ll learn.

Everything is out of synch I think- even me! I just commented on your June 23rd blog thinking I was commenting on this one…..slippery fingers sliding too far!
I quoted one of my favorite Thomas Jefferson quotes.
As usual you write the most succinct and spot on blogs. Great post today!

Yin and yang have always been a great big mystery to me. In the bible Eve was the most enterprising and active. She seduced Adam and he followed her. So was eve yin or yang? Great post , Anthony! Thank you. Have a great week.

Hi Roger, many thanks for that.

    Hi Leslie, ah, those struggles.

Hi Reader Wil, if you go back far enough, I think it was essentially a woman’s world – Mother Earth, feminine deities, fertility primary with us and nature.

Hi Rajesh, thanks for that. Glad you liked them.

The Middle East has long been a hot bed of activity and war. Ultimately it is the belly button of the world and whatever happens there spreads out over the rest of the body. One cannot outrun it.

  37. Anthony North said on July 4, 2013

Hi Country Dew, true, but in recent times the only reason it affects the world is our dependence on oil.

  38. Heather L said on July 4, 2013
