Gossamer thin ghost
The veil descends at night time
He missed her so much
***
BEAST: He still saw a man in his
reflection. Yet the body of his victim
said otherwise. The beast within
always fools its host.
***
Jekyll’s dilemma
His potion not needed now
He was of two minds

ANSWER: As he saw the ghost, he
wondered: do they have brains? He was
answered as the spirit possessed him
and replied: ‘Yes. When we need one.’

I crave … what? Hot; drained of blood.
Memories of when I lived drive me mad
when I smell a bacon sandwich.
***
BLATANT STATUE: All shook up the
jailhouse rock Elvis had a wooden heart.
Suspicious minds said the devil in disguise
did it. So blatantly lonesome tonight.
***
ECTOPLASM: The ghost’s 1st attempt
seemed more like a swirling ponytail than
a haunting. And the 2nd ghost knew too
well what was behind a pony’s tail.

THE CRIME POST
My Writing Tips

Those who seek power
The most unworthy of it
Power becomes crime
***
NIGHT COP: The cop watched the suspect

the spoils – his own pension pot.
***
Good intentions strike
But look for motive behind
Pact with the devil

He was the dark shadow of society; the

MICROPEDIE IN 55 WORDS

where the expensive cats were.
***
LIGHT HOUSE: The security lights lit
up the house, protecting it from crime.
Yet they were immediately imprisoned
as they stole the dark.

The 3 youngsters strutted & preened in
search of fame. The adult wasn’t so
sure. After all, they were pigs.
***
WATCHING: The old couple watched the
young & their ‘healthy’ life – of drugs,
plastic food, bingeing & sedentary habits
– & wondered if THEY’D make 90.
