Polly Ticks says … With a new govt in France, the rosy Eurozone is not so sweet as divisions arise with Germany. Not only does the Euro need affluence to work, but also a love affair between old foes. It couldn’t last.

Pappa Razzi says … As shares tumble I notice Facebook is not appearing the ultimate money maker once thought. Good. Maybe the kid can get back to running a social network rather than dreaming of ruling the cyberworld.

GREEN SCENE

Universal love
Reason for life, diverse, whole
And in death, renew
***
PRIVILEGE: Privileged tycoons. Huge
gardens, encroaching on their big homes.
The destroyers of nature love them.
Garden waits the day, angry, ready …
***
Celebrate nature
Attached by unbreakable
umbilical cord
***
TRAPPED: As night came, they were trapped on
the top floor. They could hear rustling below.
Outside, the trees undulated menacingly, the
rest of the city gone as nature grasped
consumerism. But such a sparse commodity,
man. A branch smashed a window …
***
Locked out of nature
Wander through concrete, detached
Attitude is key

Polly Ticks says … Brit govt making preparations for Greek exit from Eurozone. It will be bad, but no one seems to be mentioning the cascade that will follow. The Euro is doomed. We must get used to it.

Prof Isaac Galistein says … There is a talent drain in UK teaching as many become disillusioned. I’m not surprised. The new touchy-feely approach of the last 30 yrs was bound to end this way. And the real cost has been to the kids.

RATTLERS’ TALE

COLLIDE: Bobby stuck the cat to the
football. They couldn’t part them. Cat
had to prize himself off, but how? 2
wrongs CAN make a right. Enter dog.

ESSAY: SPIRITUALITY – Spirituality is a vague concept, meaning many things to different people. To me, it is about connectedness – of man to mankind, mankind to nature and nature to the universe. What spirituality isn’t is religious. As I see it, religion is a social codification, whereas spirituality comes from within.

BLACK & WHITE: ‘Nothing is black and
white,’ said the Thinker, sitting. ‘All
is grey.’ Which, knew his audience, was
boring. He continued: ‘Grey allows
solutions, whereas black and white leads
only to conflict.’ If only the ghosts
were still alive to prove him wrong.

The pain of heartbreak
To know opposites – so vital
To truly know joy

Polly Ticks says … Summer of protest planned by Brit public sector workers over cuts and pensions. They’ll get little public support. Cuts are needed. The problem is they’re happening too fast. And they get better pensions than most private sector workers. Maybe this is why their protests are piecemeal.

Guru Tony says … So, French and Greek voters have their say, rejecting austerity measures. And I don’t blame them. When you’re ruled by unelected Euro committees of bureaucrats, and dictated to by Big Biz, you should know you’re not far from serfdom. And to think, Europe invented democracy.

THE CRIME POST

TREASURE: The baby was a treasure
seeking treasure. The man holds it to
him as baby cries. He didn’t understand.
Thought only: you stole my dummy.

ESSAY: ROBBERY – Robbery is taking what belongs to another. But what belongs? It all comes down to ownership. Capitalism extended the right of ownership to all – it had to be for people to buy things – but before this, ownership was a product of power; basically, who could use their power to rob the most. Of course, we need laws of ownership, and penalties for robbing from others, but it should be remembered that wealth began with crime.

Fire of bitterness licks
Cleanse mind with death’s flame

CRIMSON: Crimson is often the colour
of crime, evident at so many scenes.
It flows from within. The heat of
adversity; the result of stupidity;
the outcome of vacuity … The blush
of the victim.

I pine for freedom
I am innocent, yet jailed
Through neighbour from hell

I pine for freedom
I could take no more, so bang!!!
My neighbour’s in hell

I pine for freedom
Redemption! – he’s forgiven
Yet I’m still in hell

Dr Illya Ness says … 54% of doctors think the Brit health service should withhold non-emergency treatment for smokers and the obese. Disgraceful! Their ethic should be to treat people, not condemn lifestyle.

READ WITH MUMMY

IMPETUS: I dream. Out of time? 2 ladies.
A house? Strange clothes, their image on
wall. Out of view, fire? I have means –
impetus – to leave my cave.

ESSAY: QUEUES – Queues can be horrific. They say they are signs of an orderly society, but this is a con. They really represent lack of facilities or too much control. So pervasive are they that they even invade your home – the telephone queue, waiting to speak to the authorities. Demeaning, queues waste life as we wait. And when the queue fails, beware the riot.

DEPRESSION: A depression hung over mankind.
The psychic link was gone and monsters raged.
Depression clung to the psyche & greed
reigned. But the outcome was called Recession;
the monsters, ourselves.
