Aspirin may help prevent bowel cancer. Another benefit of the wonder drug. And as Big Biz concocts more potions remember, it came from tree bark.

ON READING

Do I like my reading light or
heavy? Depends on mood, so I have
one of each on the go. Though I
can get through 3 light reads
for one heavy.

Blogger Bard says:
Excel at haiku
Write with great economy
Oh for more syllab…. :-)

Buy house, can’t afford
Economy jerks, guns load
Carnage – peace punctured

  2. Anthony North said on November 2, 2011

Hi Ramesh, many thanks for those kind words.

Excellent use of the three words and the first line here has been on my mind for a while now ;) It jerked me to reality again.

  4. Anthony North said on November 2, 2011

Hi Nanka, many thanks. Yes, such tiny individual causes can lead to something much, much bigger.

I love how you can compact such powerful messages into such a short space. Well done.

Very smart! And if the doctors saw the natives using tree bark as a medicine, they would probably say: “They should try using aspirin”. (Ref: BBC documentary a few years ago re. digitalis. Don’t know the doctor’s name – but he was a nut!
    Your 3WWW, very apt.

Hi Dandelion Girl, thanks for that. Much appreciated.

Hi Altonian, I can believe that. Was she a woman doctor? Dr Bella Donna comes to mind :-)

yes isn’t that funny that something that has been around for quite awhile works best.

And, it’s going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better, too.

3WW– too bad it has to be so potentially true. Wish it were fiction for all that are struggling in this economy.

  12. Anthony North said on November 2, 2011

Hi Daydreamertoo, yes, I think it is.

Hi MaryA, I think in fiction people wouldn’t believe it – how stupid our economy became.

Tree bark rules ! Pharmaceuticals despair.

    And 3 WW right on.

    Peace,

Call me cynical but peace is not that good for the economy. But on the other hand politicians aren’t either. Now on my third hand a buoyant economy means we are buying things we don’t need.
