Polly Ticks says … More govt measures coming to kickstart economy. It amuses me how Super Capitalism was used to beat collectivist economics, but is now embracing it.

Guru Tony says … Young Brits are statistically more obese than anywhere else in Europe. It doesn’t surprise me. The UK has lost its identity; and without it we all indulge in our self-centred desires.

FUTURE ZONE

RELATIVE MOB: It was always the same
when the early Starships returned to earth.
As the gangways were jettisoned the crew
came out, behaved abominably and the
police rounded up the mob for re-education.
At light speeds time went faster on the ship
than earth, the crew having to catch up
with 100 years of moral advancement.

Major de Ranger says … Egypt falling into chaos again. As I warned: once the Army is in, you won’t get it out. The Arab Spring needs a new philosophy before action can take it down a path to freedom.

RATTLERS’ TALE

THE SETTEE: No one knew who put the settee
by the quiet road at the edge of town but many
were glad they did. An argument at home? Go
and sit there, often someone from another house,
another argument, for company. Brief relationship
in transit. A moment of bliss, then home,
resolved. Everyone was glad it was there.

TEACHER: He was the worst teacher in
the world. He was so lazy that students
ended up motivating themselves. He was
the best teacher in the world.

COMPLACENT: Mr Big Biz knew the
customers who wouldn’t buy enough. They
were guided to the ComplacEntry; then to
the boiler. After all, he WAS green.

Polly Ticks says … Top UK execs’ disgusting pay defended by that tired & disgusting mantra: if they don’t get the going rate, we’ll lose them. Reminds me of other heinous justifications such as: I was only obeying orders.

THE CRIME POST

FOOL’S PARADISE: No bills, no hangovers, no
responsibility, no hassle, no danger of being
kicked out. Such a fool’s paradise, prison.

Blogger Bard says:
He moves without light
Light fingered, his burden light
Laptops are so light

So he saw the light
Thought resplendant – forbidden
Why is difference crime?

Half Way

Just begun, long way to go,
Keep going, stamina I’ll show,
Half way, It’s got to be,
Do you get it, do you agree?
Nearly finished, feel divine,
That’s it! The last line

READ WITH MUMMY

HOLLOW MAN: To be psychic yet have love
for mankind left only misery for him. Why did
people have to die? It left him hollow, fulfilled
only by his visits to the shallow graves of the
recently dead. Taking their souls, he gave the
bereaved one last look at their loved ones
as they slept.

The Cup

Go on, drink it – nice cup of tea;
Poisoned? What – me?
Steamy, tasty – such a vice;
Go on, drink it – ever so nice;
But before you do, can you sign this, please,
Then I’ll have your money when you’re deceased

Sex

Foreplay, now I’m getting warm,
Entwined, my body does adorn,
Caressing, searching, feeling right,
Climax long into the night;
But virgin still, inexperienced, pure,
Love not here, just allure,
Yet still it feels so alive!
Virtual Reality off – did you get the vibe?

FUTURE ZONE

SPECIES: The species was so vast no one
knew what it really was. It sucked in lifeforms
from their birth; stored them, feeding a bit at
a time, until death. Beware species Planet.
